Jan 18, 2018

The inspiring story of two educators and their passion for baking and transforming student's lives – an example of how local businesses can bring tutoring into the community.

One Florida “biscuit shop with a mission” is churning out scholars as well as baked goods, and showing how local businesses can help connect students to tutors.

Hey Giant! Little Biscuits launched the Hey Giant! Learning Center to provide free tutoring services to Tampa K-12 students. The bakery’s initiative relies on volunteers from the local community to tutor in a range of academic and test prep support.

Hey, tutors! Do you have any experience working with local businesses to provide students with the space and resources to strengthen their learning? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
